What Is Methasterone?

Methasterone, widely known as Superdrol, is a synthetic oral anabolic steroid derived from dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Its structure adds methyl groups at the 2-alpha and 17-alpha positions, which make it orally active and give it strong anabolic properties. Methasterone does not aromatize, so it does not convert to estrogen.

History of Superdrol

Methasterone was first synthesized in the 1950s but was never developed as a medicine. It became widely known in 2005 when it was sold under the name Superdrol as bodybuilding supplement.

Methasterone is used in bodybuilding and strength sports for increases in muscle mass, muscle density, and strength without estrogen-related water retention.
